Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using HirinGenie ("the Service") at hiringenie.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada.

2. Description of Service

HirinGenie is an AI-powered job search automation platform that helps job seekers:

• Search multiple job boards simultaneously
• Receive AI-generated job match ratings based on their resume
• Generate a resume tailored to each job, optimized for ATS matching
• Generate a personalized cover letter when a posting requires one
• Track job applications and outcomes

HirinGenie is a tool to assist your job search. We do not guarantee employment, interview invitations, or responses from employers.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age and legally entitled to work in your jurisdiction to use HirinGenie. By creating an account, you confirm you meet these requirements.

4. Account Registration

You must sign in using a valid Google account. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the security of your Google account credentials
• All activity that occurs under your HirinGenie account
• Ensuring your account information is accurate and up to date
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access at support@hiringenie.com

5. Acceptable Use

You agree to use HirinGenie only for lawful personal job search purposes. You must not:

• Use the platform to send spam, bulk unsolicited emails, or harassing communications
• Misrepresent your qualifications, identity, or employment history in emails or resume uploads
• Use the platform for commercial purposes, including recruiting on behalf of another company
• Attempt to access other users' accounts or data
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or scrape the platform
• Use automated bots or scripts to interact with the Service
• Violate any applicable Canadian federal or provincial laws, or laws of your local jurisdiction

6. Resume and Content

By uploading your resume and providing content through HirinGenie, you:

• Confirm you own or have the right to use all content uploaded
• Grant HirinGenie a limited licence to process your resume content solely to provide the Service
• Understand your resume text may be processed by third-party AI services (Anthropic Claude) to generate job ratings, tailored resumes, and cover letters

HirinGenie does not share your resume with employers without your explicit action.

7. Subscription and Payment

HirinGenie currently offers a free tier. Paid plans may be introduced in the future. When paid plans are available:

• Pricing and features will be clearly disclosed before any charge
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date
• All prices are in Canadian dollars (CAD) unless otherwise stated
• Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis — contact support within 7 days

8. Intellectual Property

HirinGenie, including its logo, name, software, AI models, design, and content, is the exclusive property of HirinGenie and protected by Canadian copyright and trademark law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without written permission.

Your resume content and personal data remain your property at all times.

9. AI-Generated Content

HirinGenie uses artificial intelligence (Anthropic's Claude models) to generate job match ratings, tailored resumes, and cover letters. By using the Service, you acknowledge and agree that:

• AI-generated content is produced algorithmically and may contain factual errors, omissions, or inaccuracies
• AI outputs are not guaranteed to be consistent or repeatable — the same input may produce different results at different times
• You are solely responsible for reviewing, verifying, and editing any AI-generated content before relying on it or submitting it to an employer
• HirinGenie does not independently verify AI-generated resume or cover letter content against your actual work history — ensuring everything you submit is truthful and accurate is your responsibility
• AI job ratings are an automated estimate only and should not be the sole basis for deciding whether to pursue or skip a job opportunity

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

HirinGenie is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that:

• The Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
• Job search results will be complete, accurate, or current
• AI-generated ratings, tailored resumes, or cover letters will be free from errors, inconsistencies, or omissions
• Use of the Service will result in job interviews or employment

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Ontario law, HirinGenie shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

• Loss of employment opportunities or income
• Inaccurate, inconsistent, or incomplete job ratings, tailored resumes, or cover letters
• Consequences of submitting AI-generated content to an employer without reviewing it first
• Data loss or service interruptions

Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid to HirinGenie in the 3 months preceding the claim.

12. Termination

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you:

• Violate these Terms of Service
• Use the platform for fraudulent or harmful purposes

Upon termination, your access to the Service ends immediately. We will delete your personal data within 30 days of a deletion request.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by email and by updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Ontario, Canada. You agree to attempt to resolve disputes informally first by contacting us at support@hiringenie.com.
